Are you an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) looking for a unique challenge or considering a Trainee post? We have an exciting new role working as part of our Adult Eating Disorder Inpatient and Day Programme.
The Dorset All Age Eating Disorders Service offers assessment, treatment, and care for people of all ages with an eating disorder and their families.
It is an exciting time to join the inpatient and day programme team as we have recently moved into a state-of-the-art, purpose-built new building in the grounds of St Ann's Hospital, Poole.
We are looking to recruit a dynamic and innovative Trainee or fully qualified ACP to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. We want to recruit someone who will thrive within this clinical area and contribute to the work of the team.
The successful applicant will contribute both as an individual and as part of the MDT. They will be involved in providing the highest quality care for adults with eating disorders receiving treatment across inpatient and day programs. The post holder will be supported in achieving their digital badge via the trainee post, offered regular clinical supervision, and annual appraisal with opportunities for CPD and personal development.
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of.
Main duties of the job
1. To provide highly specialist high-quality person-centred care which always considers people's safety, privacy, and dignity using advanced clinical knowledge that is evidence-based.
2. As part of a multi-professional team, the post holder will practice autonomously, whilst being accountable and self-directed in line with the relevant code of professional conduct.
3. To plan and manage complete episodes of care; undertake independent comprehensive assessment and management of service users to incorporate pharmacological considerations; making complex clinical decisions regarding service user management and clinical outcomes.
4. To provide expert clinical advice, leadership, and support ensuring the needs of the service are met by exercising and demonstrating high levels of clinical judgement, critical analysis, and advanced decision-making skills.
5. To lead as a driver for change, to monitor and improve standards through supervision, evidence-based practice, clinical audit, research, and education. To promote and demonstrate best practice by integrating evidence into practice.
6. To work strategically, contributing to the planning and development of integrated services.
7. The post holder will be accountable for the direct delivery of autonomous service user care.

Person Specification
Education & Training
* Registered health practitioner with membership of relevant professional body
* MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent route to Advanced Clinical Practice with evidence of meeting the nationally agreed capabilities
* Learning and Assessing in Practice Qualification or equivalent practice assessor's training/recognition of teaching abilities.
* Registered non-medical prescriber (where professionally appropriate)
* Relevant role-specific qualifications or training (i.e leadership courses, specific clinical skills, psychological therapies etc)
* Evidence of ability and willingness to undertake full MSc Advanced Clinical Practice/or equivalent route to Advanced Clinical Practice.
* Be able to evidence level 2 Maths and English (GCSE C or above) via original certificates, or willingness to complete.
Knowledge & Experience
* Clear and demonstrable evidence of advanced, autonomous practice in the management of patients/service users
* Evidence of Continuing Professional Development through an advanced clinical practice portfolio demonstrating advanced level practice across the four pillars of clinical practice, education, leadership, and research
* Knowledge and understanding of the Trust's strategies relevant to role
* Demonstrable knowledge of legislation, guidelines, and best practice in relevant to area of clinical practice and application of these to practice
* Demonstrable experience of working in a provider organisation and within a relevant specialty as Registered Practitioner Band 7 level for the fully qualified role or band 6 experience for the trainee role.
* Experience of effective use of electronic patient/service user record systems
* Experience of planning and organising complex activities requiring the formulation and adjustment of plans e.g. organising own time, co-ordination with other agencies and plans for sudden, unforeseen circumstances.
* Evidence of designing, delivering, and evaluating education and training in practice
* Evidence of involvement in policy and leading practice change
