SSG Training and Consultancy provides QHSE and HREL services to a range of organisations, across a variety of industry sectors including construction and allied services, manufacturing, retail, energy, agriculture, tourism, food and catering, education, events and facilities management.

This position is based at our head office in Plymouth.
The role involves:
General marketing duties:
* Provide day-to-day support to the Marketing Manager and other teams requiring marketing assistance
* Assist with the development of integrated marketing campaigns through online and offline resources
* Support with maintenance of customer databases, as and when required
* Write and proofread copy for a range of platforms
* Work with the Brand Lead to ensure brand consistency across all media and platforms
* Stay up to date with marketing updates and industry best practices
Digital marketing duties:
* Develop and execute paid search campaigns across Google AdWords and Microsoft Ads
* Perform ongoing keyword research, identify new opportunities and improve ad relevance
* Conduct A/B testing on ad copy and bidding strategies
* Review budget allocation in line with current marketing campaigns and marketplace trends
* Monitor competitive PPC activity, adjusting bids and strategies accordingly
* Work with the graphic designer to ensure all Google Ads are up to date, and implement changes where necessary
* Work with our external consultant to manage our Google AdWords account
* Optimise web content for search engines, researching and implementing SEO strategies
* Carry out regular reviews of SEO and PPC advertising across all platforms, reporting weekly and monthly to Marketing Manager
* Track and analyse organic search performance using tools like Google Search Console
* Develop content strategies that align with keyword research and audience interests
* Develop digital marketing materials for a variety of platforms
* Create, produce, monitor and report on MailChimp campaigns
* Assist with updating all online materials
We are looking for someone who has:
* A media, marketing or business-related qualification desirable or working towards this
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in marketing or business-related role
* Minimum 2 years’ experience working with Google AdWords and SEO
* Previous experience with e-marketing software such as MailChimp
* High level quality control and attention to detail
* The ability to monitor, analyse and report thoroughly on digital marketing elements
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels
* Fluency in Microsoft Office - Word / Excel / Outlook / SharePoint / Teams / Planner
* Knowledge of Adobe suites is desirable, not essential
* The ability to remain calm under pressure, adapt and handle challenging situations
* Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to develop and maintain cooperative and supportive relationships and communication channels with members of the SSG team
