RMSpumptools is seeking an ambitious Design Engineer located in Malton, UK. The Design Engineer will be responsible for developing designs, conducting analyses and providing recommendations for new and existing productsion. Customer interface on technical queries. Creation of required documentation relating to products including technical drawings and Bill of materials (BOM’s). Coordinate technical analysis. Liaise with other departments to aid procurement/production/assembly; Review Orders from a technical standpoint. Ensure compliance of design to statutory and regulatory requirements where applicable. Prototype Testing: Oversee prototype testing to evaluate performance and reliability, collect feedback, and make necessary improvements. Collaboration with stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure specifications captured. Assist in the collection of data for KPI’s; Interface with Customers and suppliers in a manner that represents RMSpumptools commitment to quality. Provide guidance to customers in a manner that instils confidence and trust in our experience and capabilities. Assist in the transfer of knowledge through training; Ensure our products are designed with compliance to ISO9001 and ISO14001 as well as the RMSpumptools Quality Management System through a structured and controlled approach to working practices; Commitment to safety: a conscientious approach to ensuring that you and those you work with are performing duties in a safe and controlled environment. Adherence to all QHSE procedures relevant to your scope of work. Work closely with other engineers, technicians and manufacturing staff. Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in engineering (or equivalent). Design or operational experience. Understanding of manufacturing processes and principles preferred. Proficiency with core MS Office programs (word, Excel, Access, Power point, Outlook) Proficiency with CAD programmes (Autodesk Inventor & Vault preferable, but not essential) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Effective communication and teamwork skills Ability to develop an understanding of core RMSpumptools technology and equipment operational principles.
