In this role, you will be responsible for supporting managers in overseeing a group of children's residential care homes. Your Role As a Registered Manager, you will be expected to mentor others and approach leadership with consideration and a progressive mindset. You will work to create a family environment for young people, aligned with the therapeutic parenting ethos that encourages development through a warm and nurturing approach. Full support will be provided from experienced care professionals, HR, property maintenance, and referral experts who manage all aspects of home operations. Essential Qualities We Look for Qualifications: Level 4 Children and Young People Practitioner Qualification (England) or SCQF Level 7 / HNC (Scotland) or Level 3 in Residential Childcare. Experience: At least two years’ experience within the past five years working in children’s residential care. At least one year’s experience in a leadership or supervisory role in a care home environment. Skills: Excellent leadership and relationship-building abilities. Proficient verbal and written communication skills. Willingness to obtain Care Services Leadership and Management SCQF Level 10 (Scotland) or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership Management (England). Strong responsibility and accountability for safeguarding children and young people. Knowledge of safer recruitment practices. Proficient in using Microsoft packages. Full, valid UK driver’s license. Desirable Qualities Qualified or working towards Care Services Leadership and Management SCQF Level 10 (Scotland) or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership Management (England).
