We are looking for a highly motivated individuals to provide comprehensive reception/clerical support to the Diagnostic Imaging Department using a high level of initiative and discretion. Excellent communication skills are vital as the post-holders will be required to liaise directly with patients, consultants and other hospital/external colleagues face-to-face, on the telephone and in writing. Main duties of the job The role involves being able to process all telephone enquiries from GPs and departments within this hospital for Radiology appointments and availability of examination reports. The successful candidate will deal with patient and general enquiries, both in person and on the telephone, keeping relevant records. You will be required to enter request forms onto the CRIS system and cover the reception desk, booking in patients and dealing with enquiries and opening and distributing the post for the department. The role will also include assisting patients with the purchase of images, burning CDs/DVDs and sending images to other hospitals using the IEP system. This role requires a willingness to work as part of a team as well as the ability to work unsupervised. The ability to work under pressure, pay attention to detail and have excellent organisational skills are also necessary to manage the pressures of a very busy role.
