Job overview We have an exciting opportunity for an efficient, effective and reliable leader to join Berkshire and Surrey Pathology Services as a Histopathology Operational Transformation Manager. Working with multi-disciplinary teams across different hospital sites. The post holder will be a key member of the Departmental Management & Transformation Team providing leadership and support to ensure that the key objectives relating to the achievement of the service's short to medium term transformation objectives and any future changes to the business agenda are met. Main duties of the job The post holder will work closely with the associate medical director, general manager and operational leads in Histopathology, service users (internally and externally) and other key stakeholders (such as the Cancer Alliance) in the transformation and development of the diagnostic Histopathology service. This will include the review, planning, implementing and monitoring of the departments improvement initiatives. With increased demand and complexity of testing the post holder will be pivotal in supporting the team in delivery of a high-quality diagnostic service. They will support the individual section leads in the identification and delivery of waste reduction schemes identified as part of the improvement work.
