The roles and responsibilities of the HGV Workshop Technician:
* A wide variety of servicing and repair work
* Contribute towards effective preventative maintenance
* Prepare and submit vehicles to a standard appropriate for the issuing of an annual test certificate
* Liaise with parts suppliers to ensure correct parts are issued to complete jobs efficiently and within the requirement timescale
* Accurately complete relevant paperwork including job cards and service sheets using online systems to the required standard
* Ensure ISO & Health and Safety regulations are always adhered to
What you need to succeed as an HGV Workshop Technician:
* City and Guilds Level 1, 2 and 3 / NVQ Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
* Minimum 5 years HGV workshop experience
* The ability to work alone and use initiative to find faults
* A good understanding of HGVs including diagnostic fault finding
* HGV Class 2 driver s license (desirable)
* Ability to liaise directly with suppliers, drivers and control
* General technical ability
