We are recruiting a Group Payables Administrator – Banking Team, whose primary responsibility will be to process daily payruns using BACS, CHAPS, SWIFT, and MAXTRAD, manage Epicor payments, and perform Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
About the role
Reporting into Payments Team Leader you'll be responsible for the preparation of payment proposals, including BACS, Cheques, CHAPS, and SWIFT, ensuring that all necessary approvals are obtained and controls are adhered to. This will involve meticulous attention to detail and a strong understanding of financial processes.
You'll also be tasked with recording key performance and transactional data on a daily basis. This is a critical part of the role, as it helps to maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial records, which are essential for reporting and decision-making purposes.
In addition, you'll take ownership of the balance sheet reconciliation related to the Stamps and Collectables Bank Account, as well as the reconciliation of multiple payment receipts, including those from eBay, PayPal, and Epicor. This requires a methodical approach and the ability to work with complex data sets.
Finally, you'll be preparing refunds, producing weekly and monthly reports, and scanning Stamps and Collectable cheques, reconciling them to the bank. You'll also provide cover for other roles within the Banking & Payment Team as required, demonstrating flexibility and a collaborative spirit.
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 9.30am – 4.00pm. A level of flexibility is expected.
About You
To truly excel in this role, you will possess, and be able to evidence, the skills and experience listed below:
• Good Computer skills including knowledge of SAP systems and proficient with the use of MS Excel
• Good numeracy & Analytical skills
• Team player with good communications skill and a flexible and adaptable approach to work
• AAT qualification would be an advantage.
