As a Senior Physicist you will be responsible for leading the development of magnetic inspection techniques for the in-line inspection of pipelines. Focusing on commercially facing development projects, typically involving multi-disciplinary technical teams including engineers, computer scientists, software developers, product managers, and end users.
As a Senior Physicist, you will be responsible for:
1. Leading the development, from research to commercialization of magnetics inspection techniques for inline inspection applications, including
2. Conducting analysis & simulation of the inspection and sensing technologies
3. Designing, prototyping and testing of inspection and sensing concepts
4. Conducting detailed design and design proving/validation of the sensing concepts
5. Assisting in the development of data processing techniques and algorithms
6. Providing technical support for existing magnetics based products and services
7. Collaborating with multi-disciplinary product development teams
8. Leading and contributing to continuous improvement and quality initiatives
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
9. Have completed a M.Sc or Phd. in Physics, Mathematics or other relevant Engineering discipline related to Physics.
10. Posses strong physics knowledge with simulation experience in the electromagnetic field
11. Have experience of product development in a commercial environment
12. Display excellent communication skills, including presenting technical content to non expert audiences
13. Have deep domain knowledge of magnetic inspection techniques, preferably MFL as applied to in-line inspection of pipelines preferred
14. Have experience as a team leader or manager, candidates should aspire to a future team leadership/management career path preferred
