An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and experienced contaminated land management consultant to join SLR's Land Quality and Remediation team in Victoria as an Auditor Assistant to support in-house Contaminated Sites Auditors.
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for a highly skilled practitioner with 7+ years’ experience in contaminated site assessments, remediation and/or auditing. You are expected to be familiar with the Environment Protection Act 2017, EPA Victoria guidelines, and audit system in Victoria.
The duties of the Auditor Assistant (with administrative support provided by others) include:
1. Act as Project Manager on some audit projects
2. Coordinate Auditor's Expert Support Team (including external sub-consultants) and its input on each audit project
3. Perform technical reviews and prepare formal critiques on third-party assessment reports for consideration and approval by the Auditor
4. Prepare draft reports and/or coordinate contributions by the Expert Support Team to draft audit reports
5. Act as the coordinator for maintenance of key auditing document templates and related quality systems
6. Act as a Project Manager or technical/support resources for non-audit contaminated land management projects
7. Coaching and mentoring junior consultants
