Green Elms Health Centre in Clacton are looking to welcome an experienced practice manager to join the team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be an existing GP practice manager or an experienced assistant practice manager who have experience working within a GP surgery. This key role within the surgery will manage and coordinate all aspects of the practice, managing staff, optimising efficiency and financial performance. Reporting to the partners, main responsibilities will include; Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring staff achieve their primary responsibilities. Management of all clinical and administrative staff including recruitment. Direct line manage the clinic manager and administration staff. Managing contracts for services i.e. cleaning, gardening, window cleaning etc. Leading change and continuous improvement initiatives. Coordinating the reviewing and updating of all practice policies and procedures. Managing the financial elements of the practice, petty cash, etc. in conjunction with the partners. Ensuring the team reach QOF targets (supported by the nursing and administrative leads). Coordinating the practice diary, ensuring meetings are scheduled appropriately. Liaising at external meetings as required. Marketing the practice appropriately including producing practice newsletters on a quarterly basis. Managing the Patient Participation Group. All applicants should have the following skills and qualifications: Essential: Experience of working within a GP setting as a assistant/practice manager. Good standard of education with excellent literacy and numeracy skills. Experience of managing large multidisciplinary teams. Excellent communication skills. Experience of developing and implementing projects. Managing accounting procedures. Workforce planning forecasting and development. Desirable: A relevant qualification in business management, or equivalent qualification or experience. AMSPAR qualification. Strong skills and experience in HR, premises management, IT and complaint handling.
