Our enthusiastic and experienced teams are looking for Support Workers. THE SERVICE : Resource Centres support individuals with complex Learning Disabilities, Physical needs, Mental Health, Autism and other related health and social care needs. To help with this we incorporate health action plans, eating and drinking plans, behaviour management plans, epilepsy plans and robust risk assessments just to name a few. We provide a range of support and assistance with personal care to general day to day support with activities of daily living, emotional, psychological, practical, and social support with the aim of meeting the individual’s chosen outcomes and promoting their independence. Some individuals are very mobile, some use wheelchairs or walking aids, so moving and handling will be required at times. Support to ensure they can participate in meaningful activities is important to us. We like to ensure our individuals engage in chosen activities and enjoy engaging with the community, encouraging social inclusion. What we require from you : You will need to be flexible and enthusiastic, with an ability to communicate both verbally and written. Good recording skills are essential. Computer skills advantageous. Previous experience of supporting people with care and support needs and an understanding of the needs and rights of people with learning disabilities is an advantage.
