This role is a 12-month fixed-term contract.
Torus is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Resettlement Key Worker to join our Safe2Speak Domestic Abuse Services team,
which is commissioned by St Helens Council. In this role, you will work from our Refuge and provide critical support to domestic
abuse survivors as they transition to independent living. Reporting to the Supported Housing Team Leader, you will play a vital
role in empowering clients to rebuild their lives safely and securely within the community.

Responsibilities:
* Complete assessments and reviews for individuals, delivering outcome-focused support that promotes independence.
* Develop, plan, and deliver 1:1 sessions with clients in the Refuge and in their homes after rehousing, assisting with access to
services that support their needs and resettlement.
* Support residents in registering with their preferred rehousing scheme after an initial period of settling into the Refuge.
* Encourage and assist residents in preparing for their move by helping them obtain essential items, apply to St Helens Welfare
Assistance, and access other support schemes and grants.
* Plan and assist with client resettlement into communities; conduct home visits and coordinate with other professionals to
ensure tenancy sustainability.
* Take responsibility for a holistic approach to tenancy sustainment within your caseload, focusing on needs assessment, risk
reduction, income maximization, and meeting tenancy conditions.
* Ensure rehoused residents adhere to tenancy conditions, liaising with landlords to prevent tenancy failure.
* Provide information and support on rehousing options for residents.
* Offer support in setting up utilities and establishing payment plans.
* Complete client-based records, contact sheets, and safeguarding logs as required.
* Make referrals to specialist partners, both internal and external, when appropriate.
* Stay updated on welfare reform legislation and available benefits for people on low incomes or receiving welfare support.
* Identify triggers for non-payment of rent and agree on interventions to reduce tenancy failure risks.
* Continuously assess your own resilience level, seeking support as needed.
* Promote safety and protection of vulnerable adults and children by reporting any safeguarding concerns promptly in accordance
with Local Authority and Torus Safeguarding Policies.
* Stay informed about policy, procedure, and legislative updates to provide accurate information to clients.
* Attend partnership meetings, including Family Action Meetings, Core Groups, and Case Conferences as required.
* Ensure building security and occupant safety, making clients aware of health and safety issues and encouraging safe behaviors
within Refuge services.
* Maintain a positive attitude towards Torus and personal learning, seeking opportunities to develop professional skills,
including IT competencies.
* Attend internal training, team briefings, team meetings, and corporate updates.
* Adopt a flexible approach to working hours and provide shift cover during staff absences.
* Ensure access to a personal vehicle for home visits, including relevant business insurance.
Skills & Experience:
* Evidence of and commitment to continual professional and personal development
* Evidence of working with people suffering domestic abuse and/or complex needs.
* Experience of working in a housing and/or tenancy support setting
* Demonstrate ability to engage with clients.
* Track record of completing assessments and developing support plans with targets and outcomes for clients.
* Track record of managing a case load and multi-agency working.
* Experience of crisis management, risk minimisation and of making decisions in difficult situations
* Knowledge of legislation relating to domestic abuse and data protection
* Knowledge and Experience of Safeguarding Practices and Procedures
Interview Process:
* Candidates will undergo in-person interviews, consisting of a competency-based interview
