We’re looking for a PR superstar with bags of experience to work across our awesome portfolio of best-in-class hospitality and experience-led brands.
As an Account Director at The Relationship, you will:
* Have more than 5 years’ experience working in a fast-paced agency environment, with experience in a senior role. Please note, agency experience is essential for this role.
* Understand the hospitality, travel and experience sectors, its consumers and how to influence them on and offline.
* Have proven experience launching consumer-facing brands and concepts.
* Have an excellent understanding of how the media works and a strong network of journalist contacts.
* Have strong working knowledge of social media channels, best-performing content for each channel and experience bringing creative ideas to life across social media.
* Have strong awareness of cultural trends and how they can be utilised and translated across channels.
* Have stellar client management skills and experience presenting to, and managing, clients at board level.
* Have strong experience in line management and supporting the development of junior members of the team.
* Be a creative and strategic thinker, able to develop and pitch unique ideas, story angles, events and partnership opportunities.
* Be an agile multi-tasker able to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple projects.
Day-to-day responsibilities of the successful candidate:
* Day-to-day client and team management, developing junior members of the team.
* Developing strategies and leading on creative direction for existing and prospective clients.
* Managing high-level media relations and leading the team on proactive and reactive media outreach.
* Overseeing account management and the successful delivery of campaigns across multiple clients and accounts, ensuring they are on time, and on budget.
* Overseeing monthly reporting and tracking delivery against strategy and KPIs.
* Overseeing content creation and creative outputs across PR and social media.
* Crafting and delivering new business proposals and pitches including creative ideas, strategy and budgets.
The successful candidate will have:
* A genuine interest and passion for the hospitality sector.
* An excellent grasp of the media landscape and social media platforms, and a network of contacts.
* Amazing people skills, a positive and proactive mindset and a ‘can-do’ attitude.
* Five or more years of experience working in a busy agency environment, with at least two years in a senior role.
* High levels of communication – presentation, verbal and written skills and a flair for creativity.

* We’re based in Birmingham but service clients all over the UK.
* This role involves some domestic travel and out of hours working on occasion.
