Job Description
Behaviour Support
Are you looking for a new opportunity to support vulnerable children? Are you interested in a rewarding and fulfilling role where you can gain valuable hands-on experience?
A lovely school in Oxford is looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team starting as soon as possible.
This amazing specialist school looks after children who have been identified as struggling with educational needs, communication difficulties, and behavioural needs. This stems from mental health and social and emotional needs, which have had an impact on how these children process and regulate their emotions. As a result, these needs and challenges have had a negative influence on how these students cope with their academics.
This specialist school prioritises an inclusive environment and ensures that all their students are able to access the necessary therapeutic support. They offer an integrated and adjusted curriculum to fully support their students. Their aim is to make sure all students can access their education in the same way as their mainstream peers.
This specialist school boasts a highly supportive environment, with an in-house therapy and clinical team to ensure their students are getting the best support possible!
In order to be successful in this role, you will need to be empathetic, have a positive attitude, and be ready to get stuck in. This setting is looking for people who are not afraid of a challenge and are interested in making a real impact. If you have previous experience working with children who have social, emotional, and mental health needs, that will be advantageous, but it is not essential.
If you come from a background in psychology, sports, criminology, or art, then we want to hear from you! You can apply directly to this advert, and you will be contacted if you have been shortlisted.
