I am looking for a diligent and knowledgeable Compliance Officer to join the team based in Surrey. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of regulatory policies, data protection, and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes, along with at least 2 years of relevant experience. As a Compliance Officer, you will ensure that the company complies with all applicable laws and regulations, protecting both our business and our customers.
Your new role
* Assist in the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures.
* Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
* Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments.
* Ensure adherence to data protection regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
* Oversee KYC processes to verify customer identities and prevent fraud.
* Provide training and support to staff on compliance-related issues.
* Stay informed about changes in regulatory policies and industry standards.
* Collaborate with various departments to address compliance issues and implement solutions.
What you'll need to succeed
* Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in a compliance role, preferably in the software or technology sector.
* Strong knowledge of regulatory policies, data protection laws, and KYC processes.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Professional certifications such as Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) or Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) are advantageous.
