I receive care and support within my home to allow me to do this however I am seeking to employ another PA to assist me in accessing the local community for social activities. The PA I am seeking is someone with good communication skills, friendly personality and empathy, who will provide social companionship and assist me in accessing places of choice in the local area, to allow me time away from my home, engaging with someone other than family. I enjoy the company of others and engaging one to one, I like going for a coffee, going for walks, bowling and being introduced to new things. I have a diagnosis of schizophrenia, mental health issues, which can affect my ability to process information and understanding. I am friendly and sociable and require someone with patience, who is able to provide information and instruction in a clear way. My first language is Urdu, so it would be beneficial if the PA was able to speak the language or come from similar background, however this is not essential as my English is good. I am looking for a PA to provide 1 session a week to enable me to get out and about socially and to help me build a trusting relationship with someone outside of the family network. The individuals needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required. You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately. You have a duty to report defects and / or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times. Due to the nature of the work for which you are applying, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure (costs will be covered). Transport Requirement: Car driver preferred but not essential.
