Dakota Hotel based in South Queensferry are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator for a fixed-term maternity cover role. We seek a candidate with payroll or finance experience and strong administrative skills to join our team.
CONTRACT AND PAY RATE
This role starts on Monday 7th April 2025 and is offered as a fixed-term contract for 12 months. Contracted hours are 22.5 hours per week, with typical working hours as follows:
· Monday: 08:30 – 16:30
· Tuesday: 08:30 – 16:30
· Wednesday: 08:30 – 16:30
While the working days are fixed, we offer some flexibility with start and finish times. Please note that this is an on-site role, and remote or hybrid working is not available.
The salary is competitive and will be discussed during the interview process.
PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
· Reporting to our Group Payroll Manager, be responsible for carrying our administrative support for the weekly and monthly payroll run for the group.
· Utilise the company time and attendance system to export electronic timesheets, manipulate Excel documents and make financial reports, as well as our payroll system to process payments.
· Administer the Company’s workplace pension program, employee perks system, and other payroll-related administration activities.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS
The successful applicant will have/be:
· at least one years experience in a payroll or accounting role.
· comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required.
· previous experience using Sage is preferred.
· hotel experience is beneficial.
· be able to work at pace with meticulous attention to detail.
· meet deadlines and effectively prioritise.
· An enthusiastic individual who will promote our culture of positivity.
· Be task oriented with a great pride for the work they do and attention to detail.
· Flexible with shift patterns and available around the needs of our business.
