We’re looking for a creative and ambitious Event Officer to join our Communications and Events team.
About you:
You’ll be experienced in delivering events and will work within the events team to co-ordinate and cultivate a range of high-profile events across the University of Central Lancashire, including but not limited to: Graduation, Open and Offer Holder days, Lancashire Science Festival, and Academic Conferences.
You will have demonstrable experience of organising high-profile, large-scale events that require hands-on logistical support. Strong communication skills are required for dealing with internal and external stakeholders and an enthusiastic attitude and willingness to work as part of team to deliver successful events. It is essential you have a good understanding of health and safety at events and the ability to prioritise and work across multiple projects simultaneously.
We’re looking for someone with a good work ethic, who is willing to work some evenings and weekends, and is passionate about organising fantastic events. You will have a degree qualification in Events Management, Hospitality, Tourism or Marketing, or equivalent significant event experience.
This position is based in Preston city centre, with some hybrid working based on the needs of the university.
