Contract Details

* Duration: 12 months
* Rate: Up to £45 per hour
* Hours: 40 per week
* Overtime available at 1.5x standard rate
* Outside IR35

Role Overview

Leading aviation services provider is seeking experienced Mechanical Design Engineers to join their design team. The roles involve working on aircraft modifications and repairs across various aircraft types including commercial, private, and military aircraft.

Key Responsibilities

1. Creating design schemes and proposals meeting customer and regulatory requirements
2. Preparing CAD models and drawings using 3D CAD software
3. Producing detailed mechanical designs including specifications for:
4. Fabrication and manufacturing processes
5. Materials selection
6. Surface treatments
7. Fasteners and hardware
8. Liaising with production and installation teams
9. Conducting technical surveys and 3D scanning on aircraft
10. Preparing design documentation
