ACR Recruitment Ltd are looking to recruit a skilled material sourcing specialist for our busy Engineering Manufacturer in Coventry on a permanent basis. To apply for this role you will already be an experienced material sourcing specialist and have previous experience within an engineering environment, sourcing raw materials for our Client. You will be responsible for the movement of material to and from material suppliers and off-site material stores. You will be an effective communicator and work with other employees to ensure quality and standards are maintained at all times.
Job Role
• Assist with the evaluation of potential material suppliers and undertake due process to ensure that the supplier has approved status
• Use the RFQ system to source materials
• Thoroughly check proposals from suppliers against the material specs to ensure that none deviate from customer specification
• Submit quotes to the Commercial Director in a timely fashion
• Secure stock materials only under the approval of the Commercial Director
• Oversee material stock; knowing the status and location of stock and incoming materials and supporting the stock logistics team to ensure that material is in the right place at the right time
• Have accountability for successful material stock audits
• When required, you expedite outstanding purchase orders using expedite tool
• You monitor and assist with material movement
• You will manage material stores personnel
• Understanding that the role taken requires a high expectation of commitment to the business in ensuring all roles and functions are completed, this may be extremely variable due to the nature of the business
Hours of work
Days- 8.30am to 5pm, Mon to Friday
40hrs - £40k+ Depending on experience
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 40 per week
