Main duties of the job Key Responsibilities & Main Duties This is a dynamic and varied role, perfect for someone who enjoys both administrative and patient-facing responsibilities. As part of the Nuclear Medicine and PET-CT team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the service, supporting both patients and clinical staff. Your Role Will Include: Patient Coordination & Communication – Scheduling appointments, calling patients to explain scan procedures, and providing reassurance and guidance. Administrative & IT Support – Managing booking schedules, handling queries from consultants, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. Clinical Involvement (Training Provided) – Undertaking venous access/cannulation where required, under professional guidance. Operational Support – Ordering radionuclides, liaising with radiographers, consultants, and other team members to maintain seamless service delivery. Reception & Patient Care – Greeting and assisting patients at the PET-CT scanning unit, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed. This role, while primarily clerical, offers valuable hands-on experience in a clinical setting. Comprehensive training and support will be provided, with opportunities to develop new skills and progress within the radiology service.
