Kickstart Grounds Maintenance Operator – Job Purpose:
Working within an operational team and reporting to a Team Leader, you will carry out a variety of Grounds Maintenance duties using hand tools and powered horticultural machinery, achieving high standards, on time, every time.
Reporting to: Grounds Maintenance Team Leader
Kickstart Grounds Maintenance Operator – Duties & Responsibilities:
– To undertake all duties in accordance with our work schedule and ensure all areas are left clean and tidy after work is completed, complying with Health & Safety procedures
– The role will require you to operate all vehicles, machinery and equipment in accordance with Health & Safety procedures, undertaking training as and when required
– Your main duties will include: Grass cutting, hedge cutting, border maintenance, leaf clearance, litter picking, and clearance as required
– Additional duties required will be dependent on client site need and may include shrub pruning, waste removal and cleansing functions such as sweeping and graffiti removal
– With your team you will be responsible for reporting any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment
– You will be required to use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received; whilst reporting any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via incident reporting system
Kickstart Grounds Maintenance Operator – The following skills will be developed:
Teamwork, Customer service, Health and Safety, use of machinery, communication, organisation and time management.
Kickstart Grounds Maintenance Operator – Skills & Experience:
– Good communication skills and customer service
– Have a basic understanding of mobile phone technology to ensure that work activity is properly recorded
– Basic Health & Safety awareness. Training will be provided and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to attain and retain their CSCS Card
– A full induction and specific training will be offered
Essential Qualifications:
– GCSE Maths & English
– Full UK Drivers Licence
