Position Summary:
The Assistant Project Manager will own and manage all aspects of projects including, client relationships, schedules, budgets, profitability, procedures, etc. through comprehensive project completion.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Review quotes and ensure alignment to scope of project
* Review project proposals or plans to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of projects
* Establish a project plan for each phase of the project and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel
* Identify, procure, process, and review all required permits and inspections
* Oversee all field crew and sub-contractors to ensure adherence to quality and project timelines
* Establish and maintain relationships with customers and vendors
* Maintain appropriate documentation throughout the project including change order logs, submittal logs, etc. and prepare and present project status reports
* Be familiar with the entire scope and requirements of projects and serve as a liaison between team members and functional area management
* Prepare project reports for management, clients, or others
* Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems
* Assist with project duties including researching costs, scope of work, data entry of job info, budgets, material coordination, production reports
* Create and issue purchase orders for raw materials, products, and services
* Manage logistics to ensure project materials arrive on schedule
* Review, track, and update project-related documents and internal reports
* Ensure that purchase orders are placed on a timely basis
* Process material invoices
* Write project scopes
* Coordinate bidding and the bidding process
* Quote parts for customers
* Maintain project-specific documentation
* Speak to architects and general contractors
* Oversee small projects
Position Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s Degree
* 1+ Years Project Management Experience
* 1+ Years Construction Experience
* Basic understanding of accounting/finance processes
* Understanding of logistics
* Ability to travel locally 25% of the time
