About the opportunity Our Cities & Places (C&P) business unit brings together engineers, architects, surveyors, designers, place-makers, project managers and transport planners to provide collaborative and coordinated value design solutions for our clients, both domestically and internationally. The C&P buildings fire team is looking for additional fire specialist expertise to bring operational experience and strategic thinking to support shaping our business to deliver superior building performance in terms of fire safety design and management. The suitable candidate will be responsible for: Supporting continued development of a fire safety centre of excellence in London Delivering specialist operational fire safety knowledge nationally and internationally Leading and mentoring other members of the team Developing and owning client relationships This role will be based on a Hybrid basis from our office in London Bridge. Full time employment with Jacobs is 40 hours per week Operational knowledge of firefighting, fire engineering and fire safety management on large complex buildings or building portfolios Strong technical knowledge with a corresponding track record of assurance A good working knowledge of UK, ROI, NFPA, IBC / IFC Codes Interactive and collaborative mindset / emotional intelligence for working with fire engineers and multi-disciplinary teams across the UK and internationally Our culture Our values stand on a foundation of safety, integrity, inclusion and diversity.
