This global manufacturing business has a need for an experienced Accounts Lead / Supervisor to join the team on a permanent basis. Working in a fabulous office setting, with free on-site parking and flexible hybrid working patterns.
Your new role
Duties to Include:
1. Sales Ledger
2. Creation of new customer accounts
3. Amendments to customer accounts
4. Customer statements
5. Assistance in credit control management
6. Assistance in management of the Sinosure credit provision system, including reporting invoices and possible bad debts
7. Allocation of customer receipts
8. Supports the financial operations of the company, responsible for various financially related tasks which ultimately contribute to the production of accurate financial statements and information
9. Supervision and leadership of the accounts assistants
10. Management of customer queries
11. Maintenance of sales ledger accounts
12. Communication and assistance with Customer Services and other Finance team members
13. Releasing of orders to customers, keeping a tight control over customers on hold and the stopping of their orders until satisfactory resolution
14. Purchase Ledger
15. Verifying supplier bank details
16. Processing supplier invoices / credit notes
17. Reconciliation of supplier statements
18. Intercompany balance reconciliations
19. Sending invoices out for approval, movement of invoices, after approval, to the team for processing
20. Management of supplier queries
21. Commissions invoices price checking
22. Price checking of supplier invoices
23. Bank & Cash Book
24. Bank reconciliations
25. Entry of bank transactions in SAP
26. Inter account transfer postings in SAP
27. Stock
28. Review duty clearance documents in conjunction with planner and logistics
29. VAT
30. Logging Spanish purchase VAT transactions with Spanish agent
31. Employee Expenses
32. Review employee credit card and cash expenses
33. Management of the accounts assistants and providing advice and training where necessary
34. Point of contact for HQ finance department, dealing with requests / queries when required
35. Daily management of the accounts inbox
What you'll need to succeed
1. AAT Level 4 or equivalent qualification
2. SAP S4/Hana experience
3. Previous experience in the management of a team
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
5. Excellent communication skills
6. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
7. Strong understanding of accounting software and systems
8. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
9. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
10. Strong interpersonal and team leadership abilities
11. Proven ability to maintain confidentiality with financial data
What you'll get in return
1. Working hours - 37.5 hrs per week (M-F 8.30 - 4.30)
2. Location - Office based in Stockton whilst on probation. 3 days in office / 2 working from home after completion
