We are looking for a talented, caring and enthusiastic Class Teacher to join our team at Little Heaton CE Primary School from September 2025. This is a permanent role, and we welcome applications from both experienced teachers and early career teachers who are passionate about making a difference.
You’ll be joining us at a really exciting time. With a new Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher starting in Easter 2025, we are a school on a journey – building a positive, inclusive culture where every child can thrive, and every member of staff is valued and supported to grow.
For a skilled and committed class teacher who wishes to develop and impact on behaviours that challenge, to change lives both personally and academically, joining the school now, with clear focus on children’s holistic outcomes, will be an exciting and transformational career step.
Our vision is rooted in our Christian ethos, and we are committed to nurturing the whole child – academically, socially and emotionally. We want someone who shares our values, brings fresh ideas and is ready to get stuck in as part of a hardworking and supportive team. Our Christian ethos at Little Heaton simply means that anyone who shares our great values and commitment to children and families is welcome and embraced.
We are looking for someone who:
· Has high expectations of all children and is committed to helping them succeed.
· Can create engaging, inclusive lessons that inspire and challenge pupils.
· Is open to learning about or implementing prior experience with a trauma-informed and nurturing approach to behaviour management, with clear boundaries and warm relationships.
· Is a reflective practitioner who is keen to learn, grow and develop.
· Will contribute positively to our whole-school culture and ethos.
· Has strong teamwork and communication skills and wants to be part of something exciting.
· Has the potential (or experience) to lead a subject – we’ll offer support and development to help you grow in this area.
We offer:
· A welcoming, fully inclusive, Christian school community where every child is known and valued.
· A leadership team committed to supporting staff wellbeing and development.
· Opportunities for subject leadership and wider responsibilities based on your interests.
· A strong induction and mentoring package for ECTs.
· Enthusiastic children who are eager to learn.
· A commitment to high-quality CPD, both in school and through the Cranmer Education Trust.
· A supportive, collaborative team who are all working towards the same goal.
We want to hear from you if you:
· Are passionate about making a difference.
· Are excited by the idea of working in a school where change is happening for the better
· Are ready to be part of a team that puts children at the centre of everything we do
When applying, please state any subject areas or interests you would like to develop or lead.
