The Role: This new role will play a crucial part in managing and developing our new online community platform. You’ll make sure that our members - and other structural engineering and construction professionals - have a positive, respectful, and supportive space to discuss the subjects that matter to them. You’ll also play a key role in managing our social media presence. You’ll develop and deliver content plans, using your skills to grow our audiences and foster deep engagement. As well as commissioning and creating your own content, you’ll use other techniques like content swaps, collaborations, and user generated content to achieve these aims. You’ll be part of a small, but highly engaged and effective marketing communications team. You’ll work closely with them to make sure that IStructE’s values, news, and commercial offerings are part of the community and social content mix. To be shortlisted for this post, you must have: - Experience of managing online communities – especially those of a technical or specialist nature - A creative eye for what works on social media and knowing current trends - Experience of developing content plans - Experience of working across multiple social media platforms, including Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook, and video platforms, such as TikTok and YouTube - Experience of regular reporting on community and social channel performance - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels Alongside the interests and challenges of the role, we understand candidates also want to know about the mission and values of the organisation they might be joining.
