Desk Based Motor Engineer Application Deadline: 3 January 2025 Department: Claims Management Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time Location: Home United Kingdom Description Davies Group have a fantastic opportunity for a Desk Engineer to join our Automotive Engineering team within Davies Motor Engineering. You will be qualified to a minimum of I.A.E.A or ATA (VDA) standard with current or recent experience working as an automotive engineer or body shop estimator. You will be able to assess value and negotiate repair costs; provide vehicle valuations; negotiate total loss settlements and have a detailed understanding of salvage categories and claims management. Experience of vehicle estimating systems such as Audatex and Glassmatix is essential for this opportunity. AQP qualification is preferred. Key Responsibilities To produce high quality reports Assess, value and negotiate repair costs Provide vehicle valuations Negotiate total loss settlements Have a detailed understanding of salvage categories Claims management Liaise with Field planning team, repairers and customers Support other members of the team as and when the need dictates Inspection scope extends from Cars to HGV'S, Agricultural implements, and caravans Resolve customer complaints Consistency of damage Skills, Knowledge and Expertise You will be qualified to a minimum of I.A.E.A or ATA (VDA) standard with current or recent experience working as an automotive engineer or body shop estimator.
