We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker/Advanced Practitioner to join our team in the 0-25 Disabilities service. This role is integral to providing high-quality support and guidance to young individuals with disabilities and their families. In this position, you will play a vital part in assessing the needs of young people, developing tailored support plans, and engaging with various stakeholders to ensure the holistic wellbeing of each individual in our care. Your expertise and knowledge in legislation related to social work, particularly concerning disability services, will be crucial in navigating the complexities faced by our clients. As a Senior Social Worker, you will also be responsible for mentoring and supervising less experienced team members, sharing your knowledge, and ensuring best practice within the team. Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of the needs of young individuals with disabilities and their families.
Develop and implement individualized support plans in collaboration with service users and their families.
Work collaboratively with multi-agency teams to ensure holistic and integrated service delivery.
Provide guidance, supervision, and support to less experienced social workers and practitioners in the team.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures relating to social work and disability services.
Facilitate training and development opportunities for the team to enhance skills and knowledge in working with individuals with disabilities.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of support plans and interventions, making necessary adjustments based on ongoing assessments.
Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with a recognized degree in social work or equivalent qualification.
Significant experience in social work practice, particularly with children and young people with disabilities.
Registered with the relevant professional body (e.g., Social Work England).
Strong knowledge of legislation and best practices related to disability services and safeguarding.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment, demonstrating strong team working skills.
Demonstrated analytical skills in assessing and responding to complex needs, as well as effective problem-solving abilities.
Hours Per Week: 37.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:15
Pay Per Hour: £27.32
Location: Barnet, Hertfordshire
