Compass Associates is excited to partner with a growing organisation in the adult social care sector to recruit a Business Development Manager. This role will focus on expanding residential, supported living, and specialist services for adults, with an emphasis on building relationships with commissioners and stakeholders. The Role:
The Business Development Manager will play a key role in executing strategic growth initiatives, identifying new business opportunities, and fostering strong relationships with current and potential commissioners. This hybrid role involves travel to the head office, services, and key meetings, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s development strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective commissioners to increase referrals and service uptake.
* Establish new networks and expand external partnerships to support the development of new services.
* Conduct business development and marketing activities to seek new opportunities.
* Identify and manage tenders in collaboration with operational and finance teams.
* Provide weekly reports on referrals, assessments, admissions, and growth opportunities to senior management.
* Lead the effective planning and launch of new services, ensuring timely and successful openings.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in business development within the social care sector, with a proven track record of generating opportunities and contributing to revenue growth. You should have experience working with local authorities, the NHS, or private care providers and possess the skills to build strong professional relationships.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development roles within the social care sector.
* Proven background in adult social care, mental health, or nursing services.
* Experience working with local authorities and healthcare providers.
* Strong ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, with experience managing multiple projects.
* Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial metrics.
Interview Process:
The interview process will consist of two stages:
* An informal Teams call with the hiring manager.
* A formal interview with a panel, potentially including a task presentation.
