Role Description

Working within the FNZ Operations Function you will be responsible for the processing and settlement of financial transactions made by FNZ's clients. The team is also tasked with reconciling client positions and identifying and resolving fund issues. You will have the opportunity to work within different teams helping you to develop and gain all the skills and knowledge you need to progress in your career.
The Operations Team Manager is responsible for the day to day running of the Team within the Operations department.
Team Responsibilities
* Providing servicing support to clients and Financial Advisers
* Dealing with queries received via Post/Email and passed on from the Customer Contact Team
* Responding inside agreed service levels, offering an optimum service to our customers
* Supporting other teams, sharing resource where needed
* Ensuring the team have sufficient training and support within their roles to be in a position to deal with different processes
* Enabling the team to support with outbound calls to Financial Advisers
* Report team MI on a daily basis.
Specific Role Responsibilities
* Resource / Workload; allocate and monitor the progress of team tasks on a daily basis.
* Effective Communication; communicate KPIs and team performance to Head of Department on a regular basis.
* Team Development; responsible for the training & mentoring of team members.
* Procedures; implement new reconciliation processes in line with system enhancements & ensure all team members update team procedures.
* Procedures & Processes; champion procedure and process enhancements to negate future repetition.
* Third Party Liaison; dealing with end customers, Financial Advisers, counterparties and fund managers as applicable
* Record Keeping; maintain records as are required to ensure the investment process is transparent to regulators and external auditors regarding breach and reconciliation recording.
* Information Systems; make effective use of the Company's information systems that are relevant to the role, raise system issues and suggest improvements to negate future repetition.
* CPD; develop professional and technical knowledge and skills via training and development in order to meet Continuing Professional Development requirements.
* Other tasks; to undertake any other projects/ tasks as may reasonably be required to facilitate the smooth operation of the company.
* This role is in scope for activities which have a direct impact on CASS processing which takes place within FNZ for FNZ and/or FNZ's clients. This role has a requirement to remain up to date with CASS developments and changes as communicated with FNZ
What we are looking for
Qualifications
* CISI Investment Operations Certificate (if not in possession of the full qualification then this must be attained with 2 years of being in role)

* Relevant experience in a similar role

This role is part of the FCA Overseers Regime, requiring the successful candidate to implement and maintain a robust regulatory regime in line with FCA guidelines, ensuring operational excellence and adherence to all relevant standards as set out by the FNZ Overseers criteria.
* Supervise daily operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
* Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain high standards.
* Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
* Train, mentor, and evaluate staff to foster a high-performing team.
