The role focuses on supporting students to manage and process their emotions in healthy ways and ensures that they have access to healthy coping strategies to use at school and at home.
As a dedicated Behaviour and Intervention Support Assistant, your work will involve delivering tailored interventions for the students who need it most. You will also play a vital role in supporting students with challenging behaviour in the classroom, ensuring they are equipped with the right tools to lay down foundations for good mental health.

Your responsibilities as a Behaviour and Intervention Support Assistant:
* Foster trusting and supportive relationships with students, promoting their well-being and resilience.
* Assist with classroom activities, ensuring students are engaged and participating.
* Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
* Help model healthy coping strategies and social skills.
* Maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
* Work closely with students to implement individualised support for students with autism.
* Implement individualised therapeutic strategies.
* Support students in developing social communication skills.
