Description The Service & Team: Join our dynamic external adult social care workforce team at Cornwall Council as the External Care Workforce Lead (Workforce Planning). This pivotal role involves translating our strategy into actionable plans and projects to recruit, develop and support the adult social care workforce across Cornwall. The Role: Lead strategic workforce planning initiatives to identify and address current and future resource needs. Develop and maintain systems for monitoring workforce profiles and assessing impacts of initiatives. Promote digital solutions for providers and address skills needs including promoting a digital maturity matrix self-assessment to understand organisations digital maturity. Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to deliver effective workforce plans. Manage internal team resources and lead cross-sector working groups. What you'll need to succeed: Relevant degree or professional qualification (e.g., MCIPD). Experience in strategic workforce planning within a complex organisation. Strong understanding of adult social care sector challenges and policies. Proven track record in team leadership and collaborative working. Proficiency in project management and change management methodologies. Demonstrable experience of collecting, analysing and presenting relevant data.
