If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as a Dimensional Metrology CMM Engineer based at Collins Wolverhampton, where we are embedded.
About the Role
Joining our team as a Dimensional Metrology & CMM Engineer, you will use and calibrate dti, verniers, mics, surface tables, vee blocks, and other hand-held mechanical gauges. You will be working to primary standards in support of the Trescal contract at Collins. Maintain relevant records of work, data, and results in a traceable and auditable manner utilizing the Trescal EMS management systems. You will also participate in external/internal audits as required by the Trescal Quality Manager within the Trescal facility.
Essential Skills
1. Technical qualification such as degree, HND, HNC, NVQ/BTEC, level 3 or above
2. Extensive calibration & CMM knowledge
3. Ability to create new programmes and use software for CMM Mitutoyo mcosmos v5
4. Good understanding of GD&T
5. Interpret and work from customer specifications, drawings, and CAD models
6. Strong organizational and time management skills
7. Knowledge of Windows-based and laboratory automation software
8. Experience working within a customer-focused environment
