The Programme Risk and Recovery team are experts in the field of project and programme risk assessment and recovery in EY’s Consulting practice. Your key responsibilities
Client Responsibilities:
1. Partnering with our Assurance team to provide project, programme or portfolio assessments on large-scale transformation programmes and projects.
2. Building valued relationships with external clients and internal peers and developing a clear understanding of clients' needs, eco-system, priorities, culture and the best path to risk management and project or programme delivery.
3. Ensuring the consistent delivery of excellent, high-quality work products for EY teams, providing a platform to build and maintain our global brand, reputation and purpose.
4. Acting as a subject matter resource in one or more areas, leveraging your knowledge and experience to shape services for clients.
5. Leading presentations and proposals for medium to high complex projects and provide subject matter insight to bids and proposals in relevant areas.
6. Creating innovative commercial insights for clients, adapt methods and practices to fit operational team and cultural needs, and contributing to thought leadership.
7. Driving improvements by taking responsibility for engagement/account level Quality & Risk Management (QRM) initiatives, ensuring that project teams understand and comply with our Q&RM requirements.
Internal Responsibilities:
1. Assisting in client account management activities such as recruitment for the project team, managing financial aspects of client engagements, and quality and risk management.
2. Building valued relationships with clients and colleagues to assist in generating new business opportunities for EY.
3. Leading and supporting presentations and proposals for elements of medium to high complex projects to prospective and existing clients.
4. Communicating effectively with EY senior management and working to build, manage and motivate high-performing teams.
5. Understanding EY’s service offerings and actively identifying opportunities to better serve our clients.
6. Building strong internal relationships within Consulting and across other services lines.
7. Supporting team development activities, including supporting, coaching, and mentoring activities.
8. Conducting performance reviews and contributing to performance feedback.
9. Contributing to people initiatives including recruiting, retaining and training activities.
10. Understanding, following and communicating workplace policies and procedures.
Skills and attributes for success:
15 to 20+ years’ experience in project risk or programme delivery, recovery for the delivery of technology projects in consulting, industry, or the public sector. Some Programme Assurance (project health check) experience. Track record for leading high performing teams.
To qualify for the role, you must have:
1. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with a track record in managing complex stakeholder programmes.
2. Good understanding of project governance and change management principles.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
Additional professional qualifications in project or programme management, such as PRINCE2, PMP, MSP or ACP are desirable. Additional areas of interest include Project Assurance, Portfolio Management, PMO, benchmarking and Best Practice.
