About the Company
A leading media and entertainment business based in central London, this company is home to a well-established, friendly, and collaborative legal team of 20, comprising lawyers, compliance professionals, and health & safety officers.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and ambitious Company Secretary Assistant to grow their expertise in a fast-paced and varied environment. You’ll work closely with key stakeholders across the business, including the Group General Counsel, Finance team, and board members.
With a flexible working pattern (3 days per week) and the chance to make a real impact, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and has a keen eye for organisation and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain the group’s Company Secretarial records using Blueprint.
* Manage statutory filings, including share allotments, transfers, buy-backs, and Companies House updates.
* Update and maintain group structure charts.
* Prepare and file Confirmation Statements and assist with company incorporations and name changes.
* Produce share certificates, stock transfer forms, and loan notes.
* Ensure timely filings with Companies House.
* Assist the finance team with accounts preparation, board minutes, and dividend paperwork.
* Use Companies House Direct to verify company information.
* Manage OFCOM licence agreements, including renewals and correspondence with OFCOM.
* Oversee legal document filing and KYC requests.
* Support insurance, risk management, and group reorganisation projects.
* Assist in preparing and distributing board minutes, packs, and governance documentation.

What Success Looks Like
In your first few months, you’ll have:
* Built strong relationships across the business, ensuring smooth collaboration.
* Gained a solid understanding of the company’s structure and its 200+ entities.
* Developed efficient systems for managing statutory filings and compliance.
What You’ll Need
* ICSA/CGI qualification (or part-qualified), with experience as a Company Secretary Assistant or Legal Secretary in a large corporate environment (private or PLC).
* Proficiency in Blueprint/Diligent or similar company management platforms.
* Strong organisational and project management skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
* The ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and remain calm under pressure.
* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including drafting board minutes and handling FYC requests.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* A collaborative and adaptable team player, willing to support the wider legal team as needed.
