Summary:
The Site Supervisor will be expected to pro-actively drive operational excellence by operating and improving the reliability and efficiency of the ETP assets at ABInBev.
Daily duties will include ensuring the ETP process equipment continually operates at the optimum level, whilst maintaining operator communications and establishing operational reviews. The Site Supervisor will also be expected to manage chemical ordering and stock for the site.
Critical to the success of this role, will be the day-to-day coordination and continued development of a cohesive ETP team, resulting in a proactive attitude and approach to continuous improvement, HSE, identifying opportunities for improved working conditions and potential cost savings for NSI and the customer.
An integral part of the plant improvement plan will be the implementation of operational excellence/improvement programmes and meaningful KPI’s.
The Site Supervisor will be the first point of contact with the ABInBev team and should proactively report any issues to both NSI management and the customer as soon as they arise.
The Site Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the on-time completion of planned preventative maintenance and breakdown activities by using the computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) through management of the onsite team, UK Maintenance Team and external contractors.
The Site Supervisor will take a leading role in the application and development of the safe systems of work on site. This will include development and approval of operational and maintenance risk assessments, HSE reporting, procedure development and hazard reporting.
The Site Supervisor will be expected to be part of an on-call rota to provide out-of-hours support.
Job Description:
Management of health safety and environmental standards to both NSI and customer standards
Visible leadership on HSE issues at all levels both in the client organisation and within NSI
Build recognition with the client for operational excellence and efficiency
Develop strong relationships with key Customer personnel
Recognise improvements / gaps in the operation of the ETP plant and where authority allows, implement improvements.
Seek to develop Optimisation Projects with asset care
Provide support and liaise directly with Planning Manager and Asset Care Coordinator to devise realistic and timely planning for completion of key operational activities – including statutory requirements
Development and Management of operational procedures and basic competency training for Operations Technicians.
Manage day to day issues for operators, including welfare, conduct, behaviour training and development.
Support the development of the ‘NSI’ culture of ownership, involvement and accountability
Qualifications:
Operational leadership experience within an industrial setting.
A detailed working knowledge of wastewater treatment processes
Experience of directing teams and organising sub-contractors.
Leadership and other practical hands-on delivery
Self-management on critical process plant
Working to strict HSE systems with high level of personal accountability
Operational problem solving and diagnostics (using technical literature)
Telescopic handler experience / willingness to undertake training
Safety Passport
IOSHH managing safely
Training in Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety systems.
Working for us means:
The salary is between £30,000 to £36,000, depending on professional experience.
Overtime – 1.5
Holidays – 25 days + 8 statutory
Hours of Work – 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Probationary Period – 6 months.
Pension – Can join immediately or auto enrolled after 3 months - Employee 5% and Employer 5% via salary sacrifice.
Eligible to join Private Healthcare after successfully completing probation.
Enrolled in Group Income Protection and Death in Service (4 x basic salary) upon commencement of employment.
Notice – 1 week during probation, increasing to 1 month thereafter.
