The Role:
As a Paralegal, you will be a key individual within our Private Client Department, working within our specialist Will & LPA team.
You will be able to:
* Deliver high standards of client care and a first class client experience.
* Work commercially which is reflected in your case management and outcomes.
* Work collaboratively as part of a team.
* Achieve and deliver key outcomes both for the client and the firm.
* Contemporaneously capture and record time.
Department Specific:
As a Will Writer, you will be responsible for assisting clients in the creation of straightforward wills, lasting powers of attorney and other related legal documents. Your primary duties will include:
* Conduct client meetings at the offices by prior appointment to gather instructions for straightforward Wills.
* Listen attentively to clients' needs and preferences to ensure their wishes are accurately documented.
* Efficiently prepare, explain, and draft Will documents based on the client's instructions.
* Submit draft documents for client review and approval promptly, aiming for same-day or within 24-hour turnaround.
* Recognise and refer complex cases involving trusts, Inheritance Tax (IHT) advice, and other intricate matters to senior members of the Private Client team.
* Collaborate with senior colleagues to ensure clients receive comprehensive and specialised advice when necessary.
* Provide guidance and advice to clients on Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA).
* Assist clients in the preparation, execution, and registration of LPAs in compliance with legal requirements.
