A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and enthusiastic nurse with experience of Rheumatology Nursing to join the team in Fife as a Rheumatology Nurse Specialist. You will work as part of the team to deliver an effective Rheumatology Service. Working closely with the multidisciplinary team and autonomously in nurse led clinics. Your role will be key to the delivery of high quality, person centred care.
You will have experience of chronic disease management with a strong focus on the person as the owner of their care. You will be educated to degree level or have commensurate experience. A non medical prescribing qualification is preferred but not essential.
We continually strive to improve our service and you will be expected to participate in service development and quality improvement work.
Please note the salary for this post is pro rata to part time hours if applicable.
A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.
NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
