Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available We have an exciting opportunity for a Telecoms Project Manager to become part of the Transmission Technical Services team, focusing on executing projects that align with our RIIO-T2 and T3 network development and delivery strategies. The main duties and responsibilities of the Telecoms Project Manager are: - Managing the delivery of substation connectivity and capability enhancement projects. - Managing cross project dependencies, ensuring activities are joined up from an operational and delivery point of view. - Establishing and maintaining highly effective relationships within projects, and other project teams to ensure that works are interfaced correctly. - Management of 3rd party contractors, acting as a conduit between organisation and contractor, monitoring contractor performance. - Managing works on large substation sites, with a strong awareness of Operational Safety Rules and general safety culture. What do I need? - Knowledge of the UK energy industry and previous experience of being part of multisite, network wide infrastructure projects. - A good working knowledge of Project Management methodologies, ideally with a recognised certification and/or professional membership. - A confident and clear communicator, you will be highly motivated, flexible in your approach and able to complete tasks within defined timescales. - Possess the ability to work in a technical and organisationally complex environment with a robust problem resolution mindset. - Knowledge of SDH/PDH and IP networks including functions specific to Transmission electricity systems specifically the role of reliable, fit for purpose telecoms infrastructure.
