PROJECT MANAGER
9 Month Fixed Term Contract
JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE
The Project Manager (PM) will lead or support delivering specific projects within a larger implementation programme. They will need to be versatile, agile and adaptable and be able to apply a range of disciplines, including project management, business analysis, and data analysis, to ensure quality and on-time delivery of project objectives and deliverables, ensuring key milestones are met. This role is output-focused and delivers to existing SSUK plans, but they will be required to respond to requirements and scope changes as they arise.
The PM will be required to communicate and coordinate with multiple stakeholders to successfully develop and implement project deliverables. Many of the workstreams are to deliver the embedding of technology within the workplace, deployment of that technology, and the training and education of employees in its use.
The role is national, working from home; however, regular travel will be required to customer offices and the division hub locations in Tewkesbury, Leeds, and London. A driving licence is required for this position.
The position requires the candidate to be flexible around the demands and requirements of the relevant projects, which may include occasional evening and weekend working. A positive and flexible attitude to teamwork and a willingness to learn and get involved is critical as the PM will need to support the team members and other workstreams as required with tasks and deliverables of the project.
RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Delivery of work stream objectives & deliverables
* Management & Mitigation of project risks
* Production of plans and supporting project documentation to support delivery of project within required timescales
* Act as the primary point of contact for the project
* Produce associated documents related to project delivery
* Analyse, evaluate and validate large data sets
* Coordination and action of project meeting minutes
* Presentation of project updates and status reports
* Managing project timetables to ensure sufficient time is assigned to enable preparation and delivery of work packages
* Liaise with stakeholders including project team members, subcontractors and professional advisors to support project work ensuring timetable deadlines are met and deliverables are received
* Continuous improvement of project delivery
* Project MI management & production
