Mechanical Engineer – Fabrication experience – site-based contract work £45 per hour (outside IR35) travel time min 3 month contract work Mechanical Engineer responsibilities include: Coordination of materials and fabricated items to complete works. Sign of completed installations. Review QA/QC paperwork checking materials are fabricated to correct specification. Timely arrival of fabricated materials and sub-contracts in line with agreed schedules. Ensure site productivity is in line with agreed schedule. Liaise with QC inspection team to ensure that all work is progressed to the required Quality standards. Mechanical Engineer profile: HNC or higher qualification in Mechanical Engineering A strong technical background, and the ability to demonstrate professional competency in Mechanical engineering. 5yrs background in fabrication Engineering / dealing with fabricated goods. Extensive experience working on a wide range of projects across for example Plant, Petro-chemicals, O&G, Power stations, Heavy Industry etc. Good communication skills and ability to write technical reports. Ability to work in a team, giving guidance and support and training as and when necessary.
