Job Overview An exciting vacancy has become available within the Trauma and Orthopaedic service at Wexham Park Hospital. We are looking for an experienced Band 6/7 nurse to join our Trauma Nurse Practitioner team. Applicants will have experience in trauma and orthopaedics nursing and possess the clinical knowledge and expertise to support Consultant ward rounds, facilitate daily post take ward rounds and assist in the preparation of daily trauma operating lists. Excellent communication skills are essential to collaborate with the MDT, patients, and families to provide clear explanations of procedures, diagnoses, and treatment plans to ensure positive outcomes for our patients. The successful candidate will have a fundamental role within the trauma and orthopaedic service that includes engaging with a variety of stakeholders across professional groups, in both in-patient and out-patient settings. Enhanced skills modules will be supported to ensure the post holder has the skills required to fulfil this specialist role, including the support of a highly visible Senior Clinical Matron and Consultants. The service currently runs Monday to Friday and incorporates the line management of a Trauma Co-ordinator and assisting in the management of the National Hip Fracture Database (NHFD) and other clinical governance practices.
