We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Emotional and Behavioural Mentor to join an SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Doncaster. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties and helping them thrive in their education and personal development.
Responsibilities:
- Support students with emotional and behavioural difficulties, helping them to manage their emotions and behaviour effectively.
- Provide one-on-one and small group mentoring to help students develop essential social and emotional skills.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to create tailored plans for students' individual needs.
- Monitor and track student progress, maintaining regular communication with parents and caregivers.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications or experience in counselling, social work, psychology, or a related field.
- Experience working with children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
- A sound understanding of SEMH and strategies for managing challenging behaviour.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.

All pay rates quoted will include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with the possibility of becoming permanent in the future.
