We are currently looking for a workshop based ROV Tooling Technician, specifically with strong hydraulic and mechanical skills. Previous ROV tooling experience is essential to be considered for the position.
Key duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Performing ROV operations as instructed and in accordance with approved procedures, HSEQ policy.
2. Completing system and project paperwork (e.g., inventory, weekly ROV/safety reports, dive logs, video logs) under the direction of the Workshop Supervisor and Project Team.
3. Carrying out ROV systems, LARS and tooling onshore maintenance in compliance with onshore procedures.
4. Assisting project and technical teams with the integration, fitting and testing of ROV systems.
5. Overseeing testing programs for tooling and hydraulic systems.
6. Maintaining, refurbishing, and preparing ROV tooling.
7. Assisting offshore crew with technical support.
8. Ensuring all workshop hydraulic equipment is fully serviceable, secure, and kept in good condition.
9. Ensuring planned maintenance records are updated.
10. Stocktaking and inventory control of ROV system spares.
11. Supporting and offering guidance to workshop apprentices and trainees.
12. Maintaining good housekeeping practices in all areas of the workshop.
Qualifications/Experience
1. Preferably qualified in an engineering discipline.
2. Time-served and industrially trained in either mechanical or hydraulic background.
3. Candidates should possess the ability to understand detailed engineered drawings including hydraulic and basic electrical schematics.
4. Experience working with Work Class ROV systems and Subsea Tooling.
5. Knowledge of electronics is advantageous but not essential.
6. Environmental training general awareness.
7. Safety training general awareness.
