Hours: 20 hours per week – work pattern to be agreed in conjunction with successful applicant.
1 x Fixed term Contract until 31st August 2025 (in the first instance – dependant on pupil numbers), to start as
soon as possible.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly school as an Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA)
We are looking for someone:
To assist in the inclusion and support of pupils, but with a focus on pupils requiring emotional literacy and/or
social communication support.
To plan and deliver specialist learning activities/programmes for individual pupils or groups of pupils and record
their impact on pupil well-being and achievement.
To liaise with teachers/ SENCO and FLO in developing an understanding of pupils’ needs.
To liaise with and establish constructive relationships with outside agencies and parents.
Who is an experienced ELSA.
The successful candidate will:
have experience of supporting primary-age children
have a positive and proactive approach to inclusion and education
be an enthusiastic team member
be able to work independently and with initiative
demonstrate confident inter-personal skills with children and families
have completed the ELSA qualification
