About the role: To deliver high quality maintenance of all SSE owned by DDS in accordance with company standards. To act as Coxswain for Dive Training Boats as required, in accordance with latest regulations. To ensure they: - Continually improve the way they contribute to the business - Ensure that they are best equipped to support future change - Ensure that they work in an effective collaborative manner with MoD staff, displaying the appropriate behaviours always. Skills and Experience - SSE Maintainers Course - RYA/MCA Yacht master Offshore CoC or Service (Motor)- Commercially endorsed - Sea 120 course - GMDSS VHF / Short Range Certificate (SRC) - Whole Body Vibration Course - ENG1/ML5 Medical cert held (annual renewal) - First Aid - FLD Responsibilities - Ensure company Health, Safety and Environmental procedures are implemented and complied with at all times, promote a safe work environment. - To maintain all SSE in accordance with the latest instructions/standards - To maintain all logs and documentation within their remit to the highest standard. - To ensure the security of all boats/vessels held within the DDS boat section on completion of operations. - To act as the Coxswain for the Dive Training Boats. - To maintain the correct SQEP for a Coxswain (ref RMM-00603-0140) to take the boats out up to 20Nm from a safe haven. - Be 'Responsible for championing and fostering a culture of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance and continuous improvement'. - Any other duties required to complete the Training Equipment Service.
