Greenwellgleeson are working with an education sector to recruit a part time accountant to cover maternity leave for 12 months. This role is 3 days per week and is flexible on days and hours to suit the successful individual.Working closely with the Business Manager, this role will involve being responsible for efficient and accurate preparation and presentation of financial records and management information.:Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepare Statutory Financial Statements, including profit and loss and balance sheet accountsProduce termly management accountsProduce quarterly VAT returnsCompile accruals and prepayment schedulesProduce annual cash flow forecast and update monthlyReconcile all accounts in FMS ensuring completion of journals and adequate record keeping by responsible team membersAssist with the production of annual budgetsComplete and reconcile monthly bank reconciliationsReconcile payroll accounts and carryout journal input as requiredCarry out month end and year end processes in SIMS and FMMaintain deposits spreadsheetMaintain school asset registerAssist with producing financial commentaries as requiredAttend and present at Finance Committee meetings as requiredMonitor and evaluate financial information systems and make recommendations for improvementsProvide guidance on the implementation of corporate governance procedures, risk management and internal controls.To carry out any other duties commensurate with the grade in order to ensure the smooth running o...
