Full Time, Permanent – 42.5hrs per week (Monday-Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm)
About The Role
As an Electrical Qualified Supervisor, you will carry out a range of electrical work and supervise Electrical Operatives and Electrical Contractors working on our clients' housing stock. You will ensure that all electrical installations are safe for continued use, safeguarding service users, the public, clients' personnel, and Mears employees from electrical hazards.
Assist with audit processes, adhere to strict quality control and electrical safety requirements.
Review electrical certification and support the delivery of training, toolbox talks, and compliance activities.
Role Criteria
* Experience with installing, servicing, and maintaining electrical systems and appliances per the current Edition of The IET Wiring Regulations.
* Ability to install, repair, inspect, and test electrical installations, and correctly complete Electrical Certificates or Electrical Condition Reports.
* Flexibility to cover out-of-hours rota, including 1 weekend in 4 and 1 day during the week, to ensure contract compliance and service satisfaction for emergency repairs.
* Ensure all electrical work complies with The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, BS 7671 (as amended), and Mears Electrical Procedures and Policies.
* Ability to produce specifications and quotations, working closely with clients on electrical projects.
Essential Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 including AM2
* City & Guilds 2391 Test & Inspection Qualification
* City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition BS 7671:2018)
* NICEIC compliance qualification
* Previous experience as an Electrical Qualified Supervisor
* UK Full driving license
* Own hand tools
All roles require entitlement to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not offered. To drive a Mears vehicle, candidates must be over 21, have held their license for over 3 months, and have fewer than 9 points. All roles are subject to DBS/Security checks.
